Redear Sunfish
Very Good
Three Redear were collected during the 2022 survey, 2 of which were over 9 inches in length. The largest Redear was 10.1 inches and weighed nearly 1 lb.
Channel Catfish
Improving
Channel Catfish have been stocked annually since 2020. No catfish were collected during the 2022 survey, however electrofishing is not always effective for sampling catfish, especially in deeper lakes like strip cuts.
Largemouth Bass
Fair
Five bass were collected during the 2022 electrofishing survey, ranging in length from 5 to 14 inches.

Description
Little Beaver Lake is a 3-acre strip cut that has a gravel boat launch. The lake has numerous small islands created by spoil mounds.Fishery History
The only fish population survey at Little Beaver Lake was completed in 2022, and it consisted of a night electrofishing survey. Survey results showed the lake harbors Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Redear Sunfish, and several other species. Redear Sunfish appear to grow very well, as demonstrated by fish over 10 inches in the sample. Grass Pickerel are present in this lake. Although they do not grow large, they provide a unique angling opportunity for those seeking to target something uncommon.Site Regulations
There is no motor horsepower limit at Pyramid, however all boats must be operated at no-wake speed.
Fishing is allowed year-round at Little Beaver Lake.
Site-Specific Fishing Regulations:
- All Fish: 2 pole and line fishing only and each pole must not have more than 2 hooks or lures attached while fishing; bow fishing is allowed
- Bluegill or Redear Sunfish: 25 Fish Daily Harvest Limit
- Channel Catfish: 6 Fish Daily Harvest Limit
- Large or Smallmouth Bass: 6 Fish Daily Harvest Limit (statewide regulation)
- White, Black, or Hybrid Crappie: 25 Fish Daily Harvest Limit
