Description

Lost Lake is a 10-acre strip mine lake that has a gravel boat launch, dock, and sizeable parking area.

Fishery History

Lost Lake provides good fishing opportunities for Largemouth Bass, Black Crappie, and Channel Catfish.  However, Bluegill and Redear Sunfish growth potential appears limited, as no Bluegill over 8 inches and no Redear Sunfish over 9 inches have been collected during fish population surveys.  Channel Catfish have been stocked annually since 2020 and seem to be improving the fishery.  Herbicide treatments and lake fertilizations have been utilized to reduce aquatic plant density and increase primary productivity (plankton) to improve growth rates of sport fishes like Largemouth Bass and Bluegill.

Site Regulations

  • All Fish: 2 pole and line fishing only and each pole must not have more than 2 hooks or lures attached while fishing; bow fishing is allowed
  • Bluegill or Redear Sunfish: 25 Fish Daily Harvest Limit
  • Channel Catfish: 6 Fish Daily Harvest Limit
  • Large or Smallmouth Bass: 6 Fish Daily Harvest Limit (statewide regulation)
  • White, Black, or Hybrid Crappie: 25 Fish Daily Harvest Limit

There is no motor horsepower limit at Pyramid, however all boats must be operated at no-wake speed.

Fishing is allowed year-round at Lost Lake.
