Description

This 13-acre public lake has good shoreline access. The lake has a great population of small sunfish and very high numbers of Channel Catfish. Through June and July, the lake is stocked with catfish and Hybrid Sunfish as part of the Urban Fishing Program.

Fishery History

The lake has had excessive aquatic plant problems over the past few years. Excessive growth of filamentous algae, southern naiad, and duckweed have all been evaluated and treated cooperatively with the City of Alton.

Site Regulations

Site-Specific Fishing Regulations:

  • All Fish: 2 pole and line fishing only and each pole must not have more than 2 hooks or lures attached while fishing
  • Bluegill or Redear Sunfish: 25 Fish Daily Harvest Limit
  • Channel Catfish: 6 Fish Daily Harvest Limit
  • Large or Smallmouth Bass: 15 inch Minimum Length Limit; 3 Fish Daily Harvest Limit
