Fishing Outlook
Bluegill
Poor
The Bluegill population has never been great in this lake and does not appear to be improving. The numbers are lower in this year’s survey but the size quality and condition are poor.
Black Crappie
Very Good
Black Crappie were collected in good numbers (CPUE of 18) in 2020. The Black Crappie collected were of very desirable size.
Redear Sunfish
Fair
The Redear Sunfish numbers are higher than the previous surveys.
Largemouth Bass
Very Good
The Largemouth Bass numbers are up in this survey, with a CPUE (#/hr) of 128. The bass collected showed a good length distribution. A good forage base of gizzard shad and small sunfish help to support a quality Largemouth Bass fishery. This population should provide good shoreline fishing opportunities for anglers of this public lake with easy access.

Description
This is an 18-acre public lake located at Silver Lake Park. The lake has good shoreline access.Fishery History
Both bass and Bluegill are present in good numbers in this lake. The Bluegill quality is poor but quality sized Largemouth Bass are present. The lake also provides a good fishery for additional species including crappie, Channel Catfish, Common Carp, and Redear Sunfish. I am satisfied with the current status of this fishery and feel it should provide good opportunities for anglers of all skill levels for multiple species. Channel Catfish stockings for this lake have been reduced to every other year unless hatchery production increases. The supplemental stocking of Rainbow Trout continues to provide an additional angling opportunity at this lake.Site Regulations
