Weinberg-King State Fish and Wildlife Area is located in Schuyler County, 3 miles east of Augusta and north of Route 101. There are two ponds on this site that are managed for sport fishing. Pond #1 is the larger of the two ponds.

Description

This pond has good shoreline access and has a desirable sport fishery.

Fishery History

Other fish species in this pond include Golden Shiners.  This pond has filled in with sediment over time and will be renovated in 2027.

Site Regulations

Site-Specific Fishing Regulations:

  • All Fish: 2 pole and line fishing only and each pole must not have more than 2 hooks or lures attached while fishing
  • Channel Catfish: 6 Fish Daily Harvest Limit
  • Large or Smallmouth Bass: 6 Fish Daily Harvest Limit (statewide regulation)
