Description

This 17-acre lake is located directly off of I-55, and is part of the IDOT complex. Anglers have good access to bank fishing, as well as a handicap-friendly sidewalk and fishing pier.

Fishery History

This lake has a surprisingly good bass fishery for being so shallow. Anglers can have good success catching Channel Catfish, which are stocked biennially. This lake also receives a spring and fall trout stocking as part of the IDNR Catchable Trout Program.

Site Regulations

Site-Specific Fishing Regulations:

  • All Fish: 2 pole and line fishing only and each pole must not have more than 2 hooks or lures attached while fishing
  • Channel Catfish: 6 Fish Daily Harvest Limit
  • Large or Smallmouth Bass: 15 inch Minimum Length Limit; 6 Fish Daily Harvest Limit
  • Trout: Fall Closed Season; Spring Closed Season; 5 Fish Daily Harvest Limit; Early season catch-and-release fishing is permitted
