The Charleston Lower Channel Lake is an impounded section of the Embarras River, just east of the Charleston Side Channel Lake (which is often referred to as Lake Charleston). Boat access to the Charleston Lower Channel Lake can be found on the east end of Lake Charleston Park just past the dam.Fishery History
A variety of fish can be found in the Charleston Lower Channel Lake, including Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Channel and Flathead Catfish, Crappie, and a variety of riverine fishes including buffalo, suckers, and freshwater drum. Spotted Bass can also be found in both the lake and the Embarras River above and below the lake.Site Regulations
