Bluegill were collected at a catch rate of 172 fish/hour in 2020. Bluegill in this pond measured between 3.9-8.9”. 70% of the catchable Bluegill population exceeded 7”. Bluegill body condition is average (Wr=100.1).
Largemouth Bass
Average
In 2020, 19 Largemouth Bass ranging from 3.5-8.3” were collected. The 2020 catch rate of 76 fish/hour meets the management goal (‰¥60 bass/hour), however no Largemouth Bass exceeded 10”. The fish kill that occurred in September of 2019 resulted in the loss of many Largemouth Bass 10” and greater. Average relative weights were low in 2020 (Wr=91.2).
Channel Catfish
Good
No Channel Catfish were collected during the 2020 survey. Some Channel Catfish were found dead during the September 2019 fish kill. The IDNR hatchery stocked 50 7.2” Channel Catfish on 7/29/2020.

Description
This fertile, 1-acre pond is surrounded by the equestrian campground. In past years this pond has supported a desirable sport fishery. Bank anglers can access the entire shoreline of the pond.Fishery History
In 2019, this pond experienced a significant summer kill due to low oxygen. The pond was surveyed in 2020 to evaluate the status of the fishery. Results indicated that the fish population is still in decent shape.Site Regulations
Site-Specific Fishing Regulations:
- All Fish: 2 pole and line fishing only and each pole must not have more than 2 hooks or lures attached while fishing
- Channel Catfish: 6 Fish Daily Harvest Limit
- Large or Smallmouth Bass: 6 Fish Daily Harvest Limit (statewide regulation)
