Largemouth Bass
Improving
A total of 129 Largemouth Bass were collected ranging in size from 4.3 – 13.4", with 127 greater than stock size (7.9"). Average length was 11.0"). Both the PSD and RSD-14 fell below their respective target ranges. A low PSD and RSD-14 value indicate an overabundance of small-sized Largemouth Bass and a low number of quality sized Largemouth. This is to be expected from a newly stocked lake. As the population ages, future analysis will be done to accurately quantify population demographics as set forth in the Lake Management Plan (LMP).
Bluegill
Improving
A total of 63 Bluegills were collected ranging in size from 1.2 – 7.5", with 51 greater than stock size (3.1"). Average length was 4.6". The PSD fell above its respective range while the PSD-P value fell below its respective range. This is to be expected from a newly stocked lake. As the population ages, future analysis will be done to accurately quantify population demographics as set forth in the Lake Management Plan (LMP).

Lake Le-Aqua-Na is a 43 surface acre impoundment with a maximum depth of 25 feet and an average depth of 11.6 feet. The lake was built in 1955. It has a watershed of 2,300 acres and 1.4 miles of shoreline. Le-Aqua-Na first opened to fishing in 1957. It was rehabilitated and restocked in 2022 following a complete renovation to the park and lake. In addition to Lake Le-Aqua-Na, the site includes a kids only fishing pond and a spring trout program stocking site in Waddams Creek upstream of the lake.Fishery History
After being closed for complete renovation in 2020/21, Lake Le-Aqua-Na is now open to fishing, however stocking of the lake only started in 2022 with Channel Catfish, Bluegill, Redear Sunfish and Largemouth Bass. Although fishing is open, you won't see quality-sized fish for a couple of years. A fall community assessment survey took place on 09/18/23 and consisted of two daytime DC-electrofishing runs for a total of 60 minutes of sampling effort. Overall, six species and 404 individual fish were collected.Site Regulations
