Description
Green Wing Lake is a relatively fertile 40-acre strip mine that supports quality angling opportunities. Facilities at this lake include a concrete boat launch, floating dock, bathrooms, and sizeable parking lot. There is also limited access for bank anglers around the vicinity of the boat ramp.Fishery History
Green Wing Lake supports quality fisheries for Largemouth Bass and crappie. Channel Catfish are also present, but limited data has been collected on the population. Although Walleye and Saugeye were stocked until 2025, annual electrofishing data suggested that abundance was low, likely due to escapement into Pipestone Creek. Thus, stockings have been discontinued in Green Wing Lake. However, several other lakes within Pyramid are stocked with Saugeye and support promising fisheries.Site Regulations
There is no motor horsepower limit at Pyramid, however all boats must be operated at no-wake speed.
