Additional information for stocking on PYRAMID-CRYSTAL
Location: Pyramid State Park is located south of Pinckneyville in Perry County. To reach Crystal Lake, head west on Pyatt-Cutler Road from State Route 127, then turn north into Pyramid State Park at the park entrance.
Description: Description: Crystal lake is a 5-acre, unreclaimed strip cut within Pyramid State Park. There is a gravel boat launch and dock on the lake, in addition to several benches overlooking the lake at various locations.
History and Status of the Sport Fishery: History and Status of the Sport Fishery: No fish community survey has been conducted on this lake. However, a survey is planned for 2022 and will be repeated every three years. Channel Catfish are stocked in the lake annually.
Additional Lake Information: Note: A new horsepower rule went into effect February of 2018: Unlimited HP motor limit and all boats/motors must be operated at no wake speed for all waters contained within Pyramid State Park.
Site Regulations:
Largemouth bass: 5 fish under 14” and fish 1 over 18” limit, 14–18 inch protected slot (no possession)
Channel catfish: 6 fish daily limit
2 pole and line fishing only and bowfishing is allowed.
