Average | This lake supports a crappie population. Black Crappie were collected in low numbers in the 2023 survey, however the size quality was very good. All the Black Crappie collected were over 9 inches.
Very Good | The 2023 survey shows the Bluegill size structure is good with 19% of the adult fish measuring over 7 inches. The condition of the Bluegill was very impressive. This quality Bluegill population appears to be very consistent over the past few years and is is likely the result of predation by the strong bass population and a lack of Gizzard Shad in the lake. Bluegill fishing should be very good for quality size fish.
Good | Although only one Channel Catfish was collected in the 2023 survey, this lake supports a good fishery for Channel Catfish. Channel Catfish are routinely stocked from the state hatchery.
Good | The Largemouth Bass numbers are good, but the average size is somewhat small. The Largemouth Bass population is likely slightly overcrowded, which is leading to high numbers of smaller fish. 69% of the adult bass collected in the 2023 survey were over 12 inches. A small percentage (8%) of the adult fish collected were over 15 inches, and no fish over 18 inches were collected. Bass fishing should be good for high numbers of 12-15 inch fish.
