Excellent | The Bluegill population in Mirror Lake have excellent size distribution, with very good chances at fish larger than 8 inches. Dense Chara stand provide quality forage for bluegill growth. | |
Average | The largemouth population is dense and comprised of fish from 10-14 inches. The dense largemouth population helps to produce the quality sunfish population. | |

Location: Mirror Lake is located just south of Sheffield or 3 miles west of Buda, within the Mautino State Fish and Wildlife Area.
Description: Mirror Lake was created by strip-mining in the 1950s. The lake did not open to the public until 1994 because of lack of roads and restroom facilities. The lake has 5.1 surface acres of water. Mirror Lake is very clear, dusk and dawn are prime fishing times. A single gravel lane boat ramp with car/trailer parking is available.
