Location: King Park Pond is located within King Park at the corner of Mill Street and Benson Street in Pittsfield, IL.

Description: King Park Pond, known locally as King Park Lagoon, is a ½ acre pond located at King Park on the north side of Pittsfield, IL. This urban pond is in a park setting with picnic areas, a community pool, and playgrounds nearby.

History and Status of the Sport Fishery: The pond was dredged in late winter 2024 to clean out sediment that has accumulated over the years. The previous maximum water depth was 4-5’, while the average depth was 2-3’. Dredging reclaimed the original depth in the pond (8'), providing a more suitable environment for fish. Fish species re-stocked include Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Channel Catfish, and Rainbow Trout. Anglers are asked to please resist the temptation to stock other species.

Additional Lake Information: Site Regulations:
Two pole and line fishing only and each pole must not have more than 2 hooks or lures attached while fishing.
Channel Catfish: 6 fish daily limit
Rainbow Trout: 5 fish daily limit
