Very Good | A total of 42 Bluegills were collected ranging from 30 – 184 mm (1.2 – 7.2 in), with 36 > Stock size (80 mm [3.1 in]). This survey met the minimum required number of fish > Stock size (n = 30) to accurately quantify population demographics as set forth in the Lake Management Plan (LMP). While the RSD-14 fell within their respective target range, PSD was above its respective range. A higher PSD could indicate few stock size Bluegill because of an abundant Largemouth bass population less than quality size. Body condition seems to corroborate this, with relative weight values higher than 90th percentile. This is desirable for a high-quality Bluegill population. | |
Improving | A total of 46 Largemouth Bass were collected ranging from 40 – 518 mm (1.6 – 20.4 in), with 38 of those fish > Stock size (200 mm [7.1 in]). This survey met the minimum required number of fish > Stock size (n = 20) to accurately quantify population demographics as set forth in the Lake Management Plan (LMP). While the PSD was on the lower end of the range, the RSD-14 fell below their respective target range. A lower PSD and a lower RSD-14 value may be an indicator of slow growth due to an overabundance of quality sized fish. Body condition seems to corroborate this, with relative weight values on the lower end of the 90th percentile range. | |
